It is believed by many, the same concept can be linked to dirty or unclean windows. like broken windows, unclean/unmaintained windows will give off similar responses. Just as in the case of broken windows, this shows a lack of pride for your homs or business, giving off the false impression that you don't care, so why should someone who strives to cause havoc care for you.

Imagine walking up to a new restaurant, massage parlor, barber shop, tattoo shop or coffee shop. Now imagine the first thing that catches your eye is a row of dirty windows, with the thought in mind, the part of the business that you can readily see, is unclean. what does the part of the business you can't see look like? are you eating at an unclean restaurant, how about letting a tattoo artist work on you with unclean tools. How about drinking that caramel iced coffee only to discover there is a bug frozen in the ice. (true story.) Again if the part of the business you can see, is unclean, what do the other parts look like?
